The correlation between low self esteem and dissatisfaction with body image and appearance is widely documented in research. Although especially prevalent in young girls, the trend is growing among boys as well.

The Beautiful Women Project aims to raise awareness of this link, to provide opportunities for reflection, self-expression and growth through a variety of workshops and activities.

Teaching Resources
Teaching activities are available to accompany many of the Beautiful Women Project presentations. These materials, developed by a retired educator offer elementary and secondary schools ready-made resources based on the Ontario curriculum guidelines.
